The 3rd Innovation Week, a meeting point for professionals, external experts, and collaborating organizations, will take place from June 11 to 21, 2024 in the Auditorium of Isdefe (Beatriz de Bobadilla Street, 3 – Madrid).
The central theme of the five sessions comprising this 3rd Innovation Week will be Isdefe´s in the field of logística support for the Ministerio de Defensa, as well as the practices, experiences, and insights of some of the most prominent national and international specialists in this discipline.
The event will kick off on Tuesday, June 11, with an inaugural ceremony featuring the presence of Dña. María Amparo Valcarce García , Secretary of State for Defense, y Mr. Francisco Quereda Rubio, CEO of Isdefe.
Mr. Jesús Alonso Martín, Business Development Director at Isdefe y Mr. Ildefonso Vera Gómez, Director of the Innovation, Processes, and Digital Transformation Department at Isdefe, will present the program for this 3rd Innovation Week. The first roundtable will be dedicated to “Innovative Technologies in the Logistical Support of the Armed Forces” and will feature the presence of the logistical support commanders from the Army, the Air and Space Force, and the Navy. The talk “Military Logistics in Europe” will close the first day.
On Thursday, June 13, the second day will take place, which will finally be held at the J. Maritain Room of the Pablo VI Foundation (Pº de Juan XXIII, 3 Madrid). The event will begin with a keynote lecture on “Predictive Logistics in the Dakar Rally”. Next, Zaragoza Logistics Center will present the results of its foresight study and give a presentation on “Digital Twins for Supply Chains”. Finally, there will be a workshop on Foresight in Logistics.
On Tuesday, June 18, the third day will begin with a lecture on “Logistics in the Horizons Network”. This new node will be presented, along with the innovation initiatives being carried out with the Navy’s Data Supervision and Analysis Center (CESADAR). Later, the Technical Support Office for the Life Cycle (OTACV) will present the talk “Logistical Support for the S80 Submarine”.
The fourth day of the 3rd Innovation Week will continue on Thursday, June 20, with a presentation on Isdefe’s R&D&i Projects in military logistics. The lecture will focus on the initiative for Intelligent Asset Control at the Army Logistics Base (CA-BLET) and the proposal Connected Vehicle Clustering (CL-VCON). The day will conclude with the Hackathon “Mars Colonization from Isdefe”.
The 3rd Innovation Week will conclude on June 21. This fifth and final day will feature two lectures: one on “The Maintenance of the Future” and another on the “National Supercomputing Center”. Following that, there will be a debate on “Innovation in Asset Management at ADIF” and the awards ceremony for the Children’s Drawing Competition.
Lieutenant General Mr. Fernando Miguel García y García de las Hijas, Head of the Logistics Support Command of the Army, and Mr. Francisco Quereda Rubio, CEO of Isdefe, will lead the closing ceremony.
In this way, Isdefe reaffirms its commitment to innovation, the driving force behind its activities, and scientific dissemination to continue promoting the progress of society in general and the General State Administration (AGE) in particular.
