HAPS operate at an altitude of about 20 km, offering higher resolution and lower latency than traditional satellites, as well as allowing rapid and flexible deployment with lower operating costs. <\/p>\n\n<p>The event was attended by prominent institutional representatives:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Andr\u00e9s L\u00f3pez Morales<\/strong>, Deputy Director General of Air Navigation and Airports of the <strong>DGAC<\/strong>, explained Spain&#8217;s situation in stratospheric operations and stressed the need for a solid regulatory framework and coordination between civil and military actors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Patricia Perez de Juan<\/strong>, Director of Air Navigation at <strong>AESA<\/strong>, addressed the current status and evolution of the regulatory framework for HAPS, noting the challenges of certification, cybersecurity and standardization of high altitude operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>TCol. Garcia Paniagua <\/strong>The <strong>Air and Space<\/strong> Chief of <strong>Staff<\/strong> stressed the importance of airspace control, surveillance and interoperability between civilian and military applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pablo Haro<\/strong>, from <strong>EUROCONTROL<\/strong>, presented the ongoing European projects to develop operational concepts and specific regulations for HAPS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.isdefe.es\/sites\/default\/files\/inline-images\/1%C2%BA%20Mesa%20Redonda_3_0.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>For their part, industry representatives demonstrated the practical applications and technological innovation of HAPS:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Jesus A.
