{"id":2813,"date":"2024-05-22T09:20:34","date_gmt":"2024-05-22T09:20:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/isdefeinnova.es\/publicaciones\/nuevo-informe-el-papel-de-la-innovacion-al-servicio-de-la-transicion-energetica-de-nuestro-pais\/"},"modified":"2024-11-29T10:42:45","modified_gmt":"2024-11-29T10:42:45","slug":"nuevo-informe-el-papel-de-la-innovacion-al-servicio-de-la-transicion-energetica-de-nuestro-pais","status":"publish","type":"publicaciones","link":"https:\/\/isdefeinnova.es\/en\/publications\/nuevo-informe-el-papel-de-la-innovacion-al-servicio-de-la-transicion-energetica-de-nuestro-pais\/","title":{"rendered":"New report: \u2018The role of innovation in the service of our country&#8217;s energy transition\u2019."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To contribute to the dissemination and development of innovation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isdefe.es\/\">Isdefe<\/a> has just published <strong>a report focused on the role of innovation in the service of our country&#8217;s energy transition<\/strong>, which includes the transfer of knowledge arising from the <a href=\"https:\/\/isdefeinnova.es\/2a-semana-de-la-innovacion-clausura\/\"><strong>2nd Innovation Week<\/strong><\/a> held in June 2023, and which is intended to be the precursor to this <a href=\"https:\/\/isdefeinnova.es\/isdefe-celebrara-3a-semana-innovacion-11-21-junio-transformacion-logistica\/\"><strong>3rd Innovation Week<\/strong><\/a> focused on <strong>logistics<\/strong>, which begins on 11 June 2024.<\/p>\n\n<p>The report addresses the energy transformation of the General State Administration (<strong>AGE<\/strong>), which is on its way to becoming a more sustainable model to achieve climate neutrality in the European Union (<strong>EU<\/strong>) by 2050. To this end, it looks at various initiatives, such as the energy communities of<strong> IDAE, AENA<\/strong> and its \u2018<strong>Climate Action Plan<\/strong>\u2019 and the<strong> port of Barcelona<\/strong> together with its \u2018<strong>Horizon 2030<\/strong>\u2019. <\/p>\n\n<p>It also analyses the importance of energy in the <strong>Ministry of Defence<\/strong>. In this regard, it reviews how it is applied in various initiatives (<strong>Programa Coincidente<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong><strong> BLET<\/strong><strong>, BACSI<\/strong> and <strong>Juan Sebasti\u00e1n Elcano<\/strong>, the Spanish Navy&#8217;s floating embassy). <\/p>\n\n<p>It also includes other topics that were also discussed at the <strong>2nd Innovation Week<\/strong>, a meeting that brought together experts from some key sectors for the <strong>AGE<\/strong>, such as the Energy Captech of the European Defence Agency (<strong>EDA<\/strong>) with its Energy and Environmental Capabilities Technology Group and the Consultation Forum on Energy in Defence and the Canary Islands Technological Institute (<strong>ITC<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n<p>In short, the report concludes by identifying <strong>the two major challenges facing Spain<\/strong>: on the one hand, the operational challenge of mobilize the necessary resources together with the implementation of the strategies developed; on the other hand, facing the country&#8217;s technological and social challenges from the perspective of innovation.<\/p>\n\n<p>Innovation is part of <strong>Isdefe<\/strong>&#8216;s DNA, and since its founding in 1985, it has made it a key pillar of its activity.
