Isdefehosted a series of conferences as part of the Isdefe-UNIZAR Energy Chair of theHorizons Network. The talks took place at the company’s headquarters between January 30 and February 13.
The first of the conferences dealt with electricity distribution networks and was given by Carlos Alcaine Baquedano, Head of Network Planning Methodologies at Enel Grids. This lecture has explored some pillars of the electricity sector in Spain, such as Let 24/2013, and the recent developments of CNMC Circular 1/2024.
Marcos Abio Calvete, Operations Director of REDEXIS, was in charge of giving the second talk. On this occasion, on the gas distribution networks in our country. For this, he has approached the Model of Network Infrastructure and Gas Consumption (Transport Facilities, Distribution Facilities and Gas Receiving Facilities) and the basic regulations for the management of gas infrastructures (RD 1434/2002, RD 919/2006, NGTS). It has also reflected on the potential of renewable gases within the energy mix.
For his part, José María Yusta, Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering at UNIZAR, offered his vision of the regulatory framework for self-consumption and energy communities in Spain. To this end, he explained the different types of collective self-consumption and the different legal formulas for setting up an energy community, among other topics.
This series of conferences offered by the Isdefe-UNIZAR Energy Chair of the Horizons Network has proven to be a unique opportunity to learn about the present and future of Spain’s energy transition.
